The adhesive features excellent tack and adhesion on a wide variety of substrates, including apolar, and slightly rough substrates.
Particularly good performance at lower temperatures, e.g. labeling of chilled products.
The adhesive complies with the European food directives and legislations, FDA 175.105 and the German recommendations XXI as published by BfR. BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung) is the German Federal Institute for Risk Assesment. The adhesive can be used in direct contact with dry and moist, non fatty foodstuffs.
Applications and use
The product can be used in applications like labels for supermarkets, food packaging, catchweigh, cosmetics, toileteries, chemical products or other where a semigloss appearance in multicolour work is requiered. The material is particularly used when the advantages of digital printing like short runs and last minute chages are important.
The S3100 is an adhesive featuring excellent tack and adhesion to a wide variety substrates inlcuding apolar and rough substrates.
Conversion / Printing
The topcoating ensures full transfer of ElectoInk in the one-shot transfer step in the HP Indigo press and related engines. The coating also provides excellent anchorage and scuff resistance of ElectroInk based images. Print quality in conventional processes and combination with laquers to be evaluated. Excellent conversion characteristics in rotary and flat-bed. It is recommended to overvarnish or overlaminate the product to protect the print.
