S692N is a permanent adhesive with excellent clarity and UV resistance combined with good initial tack to non polar surfaces.
The adhesive complies with the European food directives and legislations, FDA 175.105 and the German recommendations XIV as published by BfR. BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung) is the German Federal Institute for Risk Assesment. The adhesive can be used in direct contact with dry and moist, non fatty foodstuffs.
Applications and use
Applications are predominantly in cosmetics and toiletries, requiring durability in end use with resistance to moisture and contents overspill, together with functional squeezability.
Flexible labels for application to squeezable bottles, plastic bags and other containers. Also recommended for applications where PVC labels are undesirable for environmental reasons. Improved No-Label-Look.
The product is used in a variety of labelling applications, when the advantages of digital printing: short runs, last minute changes, personalised layouts and fast turn-round full colour printing are required.
Conversion / Printing
The topcoating ensures full transfer of ElectroInk in the one-shot transfer step in the HP Indigo press and related engines. The surface also provides excellent anchorage and improved rub resistance of ElectroInk based images.
FASSON Indigo constructions are developed for dedicated use on HP Indigo presses.
Care should be taken with the use of heat for drying or UV curing.
Sharp dies, especially in flat-bed, are important to ensure smooth conversion.
For optimal dispensing a relatively high tension on the backing paper and a sharp beak are recommended.
It is recommended to overvarnish or overlaminate the product to protect the print.

Shelf life
One year - for topcoating and total laminate when stored at 22°C / 50% RH. |
